"I'm excited to take you on this journey with me," said Information Literacy Specialist Rachel Mainero who is one of 50 distinguished educators across North America selected as a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow. This highly-competitive professional development fellowship is made possible by a partnership between Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic. When it is deemed safe to travel, Mainero will embark on a one-to three- week expedition with scientists, naturalists, educators, and researchers to better understand the world and bring this new geographic awareness into her school programs and lessons. She is excited to share this experience with her students and empower a new generation of global citizens.

Mrs. Mainero can't contain her excitement as seen here:

Mrs. Rabbideau's Class Tests "Snowman" Eggs

Mrs. Rabbideau's Virtual Campus fourth graders were challenged to create a device that would keep their "snowman" eggs safe during a fall from the roof of the Virtual Campus building. The class met at the Virtual Campus on December 17th where Mr. Frankowiak and Mr. Lindstrom tossed the "snowmen" from the roof. Students anxiously waited to see whose "snowman" had a safe fall!

Families stand around in the snow and look on as they test their egg drops from the school roof.
